Agent Abernathy is a fictional federal agent and a minor character featured in the Friday the 13th film series. Played by actor James Gleason, he appeared in the 1993 sequel film Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday.
Biography[]
Agent Abernathy was a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In 1993 he headed up a task force to bring down notorious mass murderer Jason Voorhees. It was actually fellow agent Elizabeth Marcus, who drew Jason out of hiding, luring him into a trap where dozens of armed F.B.I. agents lied in wait. Upon Abernathy's signal, the task force unloaded all of their weapons into Jason's body, ultimately destroying it with a mortar shell. After Jason exploded, Agent Abernathy congratulated Agent Marcus. He told another agent named Mahoney to "clean this shit up".
