The Aenar are a fictional alien race featured in the Star Trek multimedia franchise. They were introduced in the thirteenth episode of season four of Star Trek: Enterprise titled "United". An Aenar named Hemmer was also one of the main characters featured on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Description[]
The Aenar are a subspecies of the Andorian race. They are native to the Northern Waste regions of Andoria. They are blind ice dwellers and have physical characteristics that set them apart from the standard Andorian. For centuries, the existence of the Aenar was largely considered a myth. By the mid twenty-second century, the Aenar population numbers in the thousands.

- The Aenar were developed by writers Manny Coto, Judith Reeves-Stevens, and George Reeves-Stevens based on concepts developed by Gene Roddenberry.
- The Aenar are genetically compatible with standard Andorians and can produce Andorian/Aenar offspring, such as Talla.
