Biography[]

Aelfric was a Christian monk who resided at the Abbey of St. Michael in Spain in the mid 12th century. Aelfric turned away from Christianity and began exploring the Dark Arts. Embracing Satanism, Aelfric began re-assembling ancient lost scrolls written by the elder god Chthon, and bound them into a text which came to be known as the Darkhold. When the other monks from the Abbey of St. Michael discovered Aelfric's actions, they banished him from the premises. He was driven out into the street and pursued by a lynch mob, who captured him and burned him at the stake. Aelfric's soul was bound to the Darkhold.

Centuries later in Los Angeles, California, a teenager named Jack Russell came into possession of the Darkhold, and took it to a religious scholar named Father Ramon Jóquez for analysis. Jack was hoping that there would be something within the book that could free him from the curse of turning into a werewolf on the nights of the full moon.

Examining the Darkhold awakened Aelfric's spirit, who took possession of Father Jóquez. When Jack transformed into the werewolf, Aelfric summoned a minotaur named Dragonus to combat him.

Dragonus lunged at the werewolf, but Jack leaped out of the way. Dragonus ended up goring Aelfric/Ramon with his horns. With Father Jóquez on the verge of dying, Aelfric's spirit took leave of him. As such, the essence of Dragonus disappeared as well.
