"The Unknown People (Part 2)" is the twenty-sixth episode of season one of the superhero adventure series The Adventures of Superman. The episode was directed by Lee Sholem with a teleplay written by Whitney Ellsworth and Robert Maxwell. It first aired in syndication on August 10th, 1953.

- Superman was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster. He first appeared in Action Comics #1 in June, 1938 in a story called "Superman, Champion of the Opressed".
- This episode is comprised of archival clips from the film Superman and the Mole Men.
- This is the only two-part episode in the series.
- This is the finale episode of season one.
- Technically, this is the final appearance of Phyllis Coates on the series. However, considering that this is just archival footage from 1951, her last actual appearance on the show was in "Crime Wave". Coates departs from the series following season one citing disputes with the producers. In season two, and throughout the remainder of the series, the role of Lois Lane is played by Noel Neill.
- Actor Jerry Maren and future Lois Lane portrayer Margot Kidder died within a week of one another in 2018. Maren was 98-years-old and Kidder was 69-years-old.
