Overview[]
Adam Kane was a biochemist for Genomex, whose experiments helped to create a mutagenic strain in the human genome, giving rise to a race of "new mutants" - children gifted with strange, paranormal abilities, but otherwise exist as outcasts from society. While other scientists from Genomex sought to take advantage of these mutants for their own ends, Adam instead chose to protect them. To atone for his actions, Adam created a privatized underground response team known as Mutant X - a group of young mutants committed towards helping others. Adam served as the team's organizer and strategist.
