- "I never got to put a picture that you'd drawn on the fridge. I never got to tell you stories. And I never got to teach you how not to be afraid of the world. And I never got to tell you how amazing I think you are. I never got to be your mom. But I am your biggest fan, Adam. And I'm so, so sad that I didn't get to see you grow up."

Overview[]
Adam Foster was the first son of Cat Grant. At the time of his birth, Cat was too focused on developing her career to raise a child, so she gave him up for adoption. She continued to send money to him for many years, but never had any real contact with him. When Adam was in his twenties, he received a letter purportedly from his mother, asking to reconnect. He traveled out to National City, but soon found that it was actually Cat's personal assistant, Kara Danvers who had written the letter. Adam actually found himself attracted to Kara, and the two even went on a couple of dates together.
