"This Hostage Must Die!" is the title to the first story featured in issue #402 of the Adventure Comics ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics. The story was written by Leo Dorfman with artwork by Curt Swan and inks by Murphy Anderson. It was lettered by John Costanza. The second story is called "The Feud of the Titans!" and is a Superman "Tales of the Fortress" featurette. It was written by Geoff Browne and illustrated by Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson. Both stories were edited by Murray Boltinoff with E. Nelson Bridwell as assistant editor. This issue shipped with a July, 1971 cover date and carries a cover price of .15 cents per copy.
