Description & History[]

The Acme warehouse is an old and abandoned building located somewhere in Queens, on the "other side of town" from Forest Hills. Many years ago, a burglar had broken into the home of Ben and May Parker and shot the elderly Ben to death. He managed to elude police and fled towards the Acme warehouse. Police officers converged on the scene and surrounded the building, but were reluctant to enter, fearing that the burlgar might position himself in an upstairs window and start shooting at them.

Ben Parker's teenage nephew, Peter Parker, heard about the incident and went off to find the man who murdered his uncle. Peter had only recently developed superhuman abiltiies and was now the costumed adventurer known as Spider-Man. Using his wall-crawling abilities, he was able to gain access to the building before the police could break through ground floor entrance. He found the burglar and cornered him. The man pulled a gun, but Spider-Man webbed his hand closed then knocked him out with a right cross. As he pulled him into the light, he was horrified to discover that the man who murdered his Uncle Ben was is the same individual that Peter had let slip past him at a TV studio earlier in the evening. He webbed the burglar up and left him for the police. [1]
