The Absorbatron is a fictional item featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and is associated with the Iron Man line of comic titles. It first appeared in Iron Man, Volume 1 #12 in April, 1969.
The Absorbatron, also known as the Mental-Wave Absorbatron, was developed by Vincent and Basil Sandhurst. The machine absorbed mental energy and transferred it into a special exoskeleton, allowing Basil Sandhurst the ability to convert mental energy into raw power.
