Professor Abraham Erskine is a fictional scientist featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and is associated with the Captain America family of comic books. He first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 in March, 1941.

January 27th: Fearing for the secrecy of Project: Rebirth, Professor Abraham Erskine split the formula for the Super Soldier Serum into separate pieces and handed them out to his assistants. Colonel James Fletcher was the only one other than Erskine who had a copy of the complete formula. [1]
March 3rd: General Phillips, Colonel Fletcher and Doctor Erskine continued to put Steve Rogers through a battery of tests. They began introducing biochemical compounds into his system. [1]
March 10th: Using a combination of Vita-Rays and the top secret Super Soldier Serum, Doctor Abraham Erskine turned scrawny Steve Rogers into a muscular power house. A Nazi agent named Heinz Kruger infiltrated the facility and assassinated Erskine. Rogers tried to fight back and accidentally caused an Omniverter to fall on Kruger, killing him. [1]
