Abner Skrooney is a fictional businessman and a minor character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is associated with the Moon Knight line of titles and first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #28 in June, 1976.
Biography[]
Abner Skrooney was a middle-aged man and the owner of a Quick Cab, Inc., which was based out of Brooklyn in New York City, New York. He was an overweight man who smoked cigars.
One of Abner's cab drivers was a man named "Jake Lockley", which was an alias used by Marc Spector, who was also the costumed superhero known as Moon Knight. Because of Lockley's double-duty as a vigilante, he was often absent or late when it came to taking on fares from the cab company. Abner was constantly angry with Lockley who scoffed at his employer's frustration, telling him he should mind his ulcers.
