Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy is an American feature film of the comedy genre with some elements of horror. It was directed by Charles Lamont with a screenplay written by John Grant based on a story treatment by Lee Loeb. It was produced by Universal International Pictures and premiered in the United States on June 23rd, 1955. The movie stars the comedy team of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the respective roles of Pete Patterson and Freddie Franklin.
