History[]
This was a two-story family home located on Mountain View Avenue. It had a reddish-brown exterior with a Spanish tile roof and a detached garage in the back yard that was adjacent to a swimming pool. The house also included a basement. In the early 1980s, this was the home of the Devereaux family, which included mother Annette, Mister Devereaux, and teenage daughter Trish Devereaux. In May of 1981, Trish held a slumber party with three of her girlfriends, but also entertained two boys that crashed that party. That same evening, escaped serial killer Russ Thorn raided the house with a large power drill, seeking to claim more victims. Trish and a neighbor named Valerie Bates had a final showdown with Russ in the swimming pool.
