2455 is the fifty-fifth year in the twenty-fifth century. It follows the year 2454 and precedes the year 2456. As this is a future era that has yet to come to pass, all information relating to the year 2455 is associated with the science fiction genre.
2455 was the primary setting for the 2002 film Jason X. By the twenty-fight century, Earth had grown far too polluted, and was no longer habitable. Survivors took to colonizing a secondary home, which they honored with the unimaginative name, Earth Two.
A teacher named Professor Braithwaite Lowe, was conducting in-the-field instruction to a group of students aboard a scientific research vessel called The Grendel. The ship was also outfitted with an armed military unit for protection. Lowe and his students returned to Earth to the old Crystal Lake Research Facility, where they discovered the cryogenically preserved bodies of a woman named Rowan, as well as notorious 20th century mass murderer, Jason Voorhees. They brought them both back aboard the Grendel and revived Rowan.
When Lowe learned who Jason Voorhees was, he realized that there was strong commercial value in preserving him, and refused to have the body destroyed. Through acts of circumstance, Jason revived and interfaced with a nanotechnology procedure that transformed him into a super-strong, cybernetic Uber Jason. Jason slaughtered his way through the crew of the Grendel, with Rowan being the only survivor of his futuristic rampage.
