1990: The Bronx Warriors is an Italian feature film of the action genre, while dipping its toe into sci-fi with a dystopic future setting. It was directed by Enzo G. Castellari with a screenplay written by Castellari, Dardano Sacchetti, and Elisa Livia Briganti. It was produced by Deaf International Film and premiered in Italy and France on November 17th, 1982. The film stars Stefania Girolami as Ann - a woman who flees the legacy of the corrupt Manhattan Corporation and comes under the protection of a roller-skating gang. The Manhattan Corporation hires a ruthless and psychopathic mercenary named Hammer, who turns the various Bronx gangs against each other to ensure Ann is returned.
The tagline to this film is "In the year 1990, the Bronx is officially declared No Man's Land. The authorities give up all attempts to restore law and order. From then on, the area is ruled by the Riders".

This movie was filmed on-location in The Bronx, as well as parts of Brooklyn, and Roosevelt Island in New York City. Some interior sets were filmed in Rome, Italy.
Actor Chuck Zito makes an uncredited appearance in this film as an outlaw biker. In real life, he is a bodyguard, an actual biker and a twenty-five year member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang. And yes... he actually is from The Bronx.
