History[]
Ash Williams drove a 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 when he first ventured into the woods of Tennessee with his girlfriend Linda and his friends, Scott and Shelly. [1] After a harrowing encounter involving a dimensional aperture that released evil Kandarian spirits, Ash and his car found himself whisked through a time portal into the Medieval era. Ash's fight against the so-called "Deadites" continued, and he modified the car to assist him in fighting them back. Ultimately, both Ash and the car were sent back to their proper era. [2]
Ash continued to drive the same car throughout most of his life. He drove it to Crystal Lake Township as part of a special job for his employers at S-Mart, which led him to get into a battle with Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. [3]
Thirty years after his first encounter with the Army of Darkness, Ash was still driving the same old '73 Delta while he was living in a trailer park in Elk Grove, Michigan. [4]
